This Application shows the “Imperial Palace Map revised in the Keio Era. It is an old map of Kyoto Imperial Park showing the former Imperial Palace site. Included is information about the park such as where the Edo Period imperial courthouses and court noble houses were situated in the park. There is both written and vocal guidance available.

This application, Gosho Burari, which can be used in your iPhone, is your key to enjoying the park as it was during the Edo Period with both text and sound.

【Special Features】
*The older map is overlaid on the present grounds using a GPS system for positioning.
*Thanks to the GPS system, you can feel as if you are walking according to the old map.
*Each landmark icon on the map has some useful information.
*You can switch the display of the old map using Standard Maps.
*Thanks to the rotating function, when you switch the old map to StandardMaps, your present position is shown immediately.
*This application can be used with the enhanced resolution display of the iPhone 4.

1. Because this application comes with a GPS system, you may not be able to use it accurately with an iPod Touch.
2. The map used in this application has not been processed nor modified from the time it was obtained.
3. According to the map’s original warp, position information by the GPS system is not 100% assured. However, the subtle unreliabilities of the old map may offer another way of enjoying strolling in the park.
